Gideon Klein: Portrait of a Composer

Using actors and music performed by the Pro Arte Quartet, this presentation by Dr. David Fligg offers an intimate and moving portrait of the musician Gideon Klein, whose promising career as a pianist and composer in Prague tragically ended in a Nazi concentration camp. Music by Klein himself, as well as by composers who influenced him, will help to recreate the vibrant musical and artistic scene in pre-war Prague, supported by his actual words, and those of his family and friends.
